Accounts Receivable Clerk

An established Real Estate company is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk for a temporary to hire opportunity. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for processing payments, maintaining records, assisting with legal processes as well as customer service.

Responsibilities Accounts Receivable Clerk:
  • Maintain resident files and retrieve correspondence
  • Maintain resident records (in Yardi)
  • Communicate and work with site offices to process move-ins, renewals, notices to vacate, and move-outs
  • Process Resident Correspondence
  • Enter Charges and Credits to Resident account (in Yardi)
  • Process Electronic Rental Payments
  • Try to minimize losses through nonpayment by following legal requirements
  • Post late fees and legal fees on resident account ledgers
  • Be an liaison between the attorneys, property managers and the residents regarding rent delinquencies
  • Manage and process all court correspondence and legal copying
  • Write off bad debt on resident account ledgers and work closely with the collection agencies.
  • Respond professionally, quickly, and accurately to resident inquiries
  • Establish a pleasant environment for residents, prospects, coworkers, and guests in the office and over the phone.
  • Help retain our customers through good customer service.
  • Answer calls and route to the proper extensions/departments


Qualifications for Accounts Receivable Clerk:
  • Strong sense of customer service
  • strong communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Yardi is preferred but not mandatory
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
