Financial Systems Analyst

 

Our client in the music industry is seeking a highly motivated Financial Systems Analyst who enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate, self-driven and have a highly collaborative attitude. They must be comfortable working in a cross-functional capacity with our Data Analytics, Finance and Engineering teams to ensure smooth end-to-end operation of our royalties processing system.

 

Responsibilities of the Financial Systems Analyst:

 
  • Timely processing of royalty reports from music service providers.
  • Maintain and improve our existing processes to ingest royalty data.
  • Work with the Data Analytics & Engineering teams to implement innovative solutions for existing bottlenecks and issues.
  • Work with the Finance team and other stakeholders to develop and report on KPIs for the royalty processing system.
  • Develop a cognitive understanding of the underlying revenue data models in the royalties processing system and all other related processes.
  • Work with the Engineering and Product teams to drive enhancements and coordinate the planning and deployment of subsequent iterations of the royalties processing system.
  • Develop a deep understanding and take complete ownership of this process end-to-end.

 

Requirements of the Financial Systems Analyst:

 
  • BS/BA degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with large datasets consisting of structured as well as semi-structured data.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python/R especially with regards to ETL, data cleansing and data standardization.
  • Any prior programming experience is highly desirable, but not required.
  • Proficiency with Office applications, specifically MS Excel / MS Access.
  • Prior experience with any BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker etc. is highly desired but not required.
  • Knowledge and experience with AWS is desirable, but not required.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
